I am pleased to offer you employment with Mail Abuse Prevention System LLC on the following terms. You will be the MAPS DUL Project Manager. As such you will be responsible primarily for the management of the MAPS DUL. To the extent management and operation of the DUL does not require your full-time attention, we ask that you work with Peter Popovich, MAPS Principal Investigator, in handling RBL nominations and investigations. We also ask that you assist with the MAPS TSI project as your time permits. There may also be occasional, incidental projects we may ask you to undertake from time to time; for example, to assume responsibility for managing PGP keys for the MAPS project. We're offering an initial salary of US$45,000 per year. We ask that you seek the advice of your banking institution for their recommendations on remitting payments to you. We are prepared to write checks in US$ or we can make deposits directly to your bank. We are also willing to consider alternative methods recommended by your bank. We are willing to cover dental insurance premiums on your behalf upon presentation of a resonable proposal. Please note that this is a salaried, managerial position, and thus is considered exempt under the US Fair Labor Practices Act. This means that you are not entitled to overtime payment for working more than 40 hours per week. We consider this a "full time" position with responsibilities that do not always fall into a regular schedule and a 40-hour work week. We understand that you have made certain other commitments which may require some of your time until April 2000.
